Google will establish its official presence in Vietnam in 2025, transferring advertising partner responsibilities from Google Asia Pacific to Google Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Starting April 1, 2025, Google Vietnam will manage contracts and invoicing in Vietnamese dong (VND) with 10% VAT. Google Vietnam will directly manage customer relationships in Vietnam from March 1, 2025, replacing Google Singapore.
The new office will focus on business and marketing, supporting Vietnamese corporate clients. Google cited Vietnam’s rapidly growing digital economy and strong AI interest as reasons for the expansion. Vietnam’s e-commerce surged 18% in 2024, reaching $22 billion, and is projected to reach $220 billion by 2030.
Google expects AI to be a key driver of Vietnam’s digital economy growth, highlighting the country’s tech-savvy population and supportive government policies.
